DOE To Ban Multi-Spray Showerheads

Large, luxurious showers with multiple showerheads protruding from all angles will soon be a relic of the past. Although showerheads have long been limited to 2.5 gallons per minute (GPM), manufacturers and installers have been able to skirt the rules by installing several showerheads in a single shower, with the results being that the shower assembly uses much more water than the rules intended, in some cases pumping out up to 20 GPM.  Well, the DOE has clamped down on that practice by redefining the rules, whereby entire shower assemblies will be limited to 2.5 GPM.
